We have an 18 month old fridge freezer and randomly the water and ice dispenser won't work and the light in the freezer won't come on. It will quit for a few days and start working again. The buttons light up and everything else is working. Not sure what it could be.

my first thought is ice build up since it comes and goes about in a defrost cycle.
I would start by carefully checking the freezer door seal and insuring the door fully closes and is not even slightly help open by something in the freezer.
