Floor type selector is stuck
The 3 position selector for floor type is stuck and wont budge. How do I access this to replace or repair it?

If the switch doesn't move, it needs replacing. On mine, I see 5 screws on the side of the handle and two above the power connector. They are T10 torx screws, so you need the a Torx screw driver. I would separate the halves carefully as it appears there are a number of pieces that will fall out and may make it confusing to replace. You may find a cause other than mechanical = like a loose spade lug that caused overheating and melted some plastic. That happened to me on a different vac. So, make sure any spade lugs are tight when you reassemble.
