Top row of letters will not print, LCD appears to have a dead spot.

Has anyone ever had a problem like this, I just put a new blue mirror screen and back on a iphone 4s and now I'm have all types of problems, one of which is top row of letters will not display when I type them and another problem is that I can't select the sound function from settings unless I scroll up or down as if the LCD has a dead spot, all others can be selected. But when I'm able to select the sound function and try to select a sound I get nothing but a buzz sound from all the sound choices.

Options

Either your digitizer is faulty (you will need to return your assembly for a replacement) or your mainboard connector is damaged or components around it. Some components around the digitizer connection can cause this to happen. Check your mainboard, especially around your digitizer connection. Your LCD Does not have a dead spot, its your Digitizer that does.
