8 inch tablet released in July of 2019. Came as a 32GB or 64GB model. The display is a TFT LCD with a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. Main Camera is a 8 MP camera and the selfie cam is a 2MP cam. The versions are: SM-T290 (Wi-Fi); SM-T295 (LTE)
jayeff, This model is available with both sim and micro SD (LTE) (I used to have one, worked well) Alden, try freeing space in your main memory, that might help, if it's too full it runs low on available memory to the OS so things slow down for disk swaps.
@jayeff While you ARE correct, I call my tablet a 'phone' too... simply because that's what I use for one. As for using (the phone) while walking bluetooth earbud/mics can cure the difficulty. It can ride in a pouch or on a sling. safer than looking at the screen while ambulating in traffic too... LOL

Hi @alden28666
Please confirm the model number of your phone?
You have selected a tablet and not a phone as the device.
