iPad Air 5 Home Button Different Size

I ordered the iPad Air 4/5 Power Button Cable for my iPad Air 5 (the 2022 M1 gen).

I went to install it and realize it's a different width than the original that came out. Did I order the wrong thing or is there some trick to installing this?

I would contact the iFixit Store as it's clearly not the same part. On your order sheet will have the information to contact them and I would also post this image with your response or point to this question.

Options

Update - there was a small pice of plastic that was still fixed insides the chassis housing. Once that popped out, I realized the actual opening is the same size.
