Replaced joystick but now no display. Sound and touch are working fine. And the screen worked fine before the new joysticks.

Hi!

First, take the display ribbon cable out and check for damage. Also check the port. If all of them are OK, you might want to replace the display and just test if it is working or not. Otherwise it will be very difficult to tell what it is..

Don't see any damage I am just going to buy my sister a new switch because it's cheaper rn then getting the screen replaced

Hi! Alright, it's most likely the display that is broken, or something on the motherboard. Difficult to say without testing the part, sorry! If you have any questions, please let me know!

Hey,

I personally haven't experienced this problem however, a similar problem I've had: I pulled apart an xbox controller and when I put it together again it worked fine as long as I was close to the console. The further away I got from the console, the more problems I had.

I pulled apart the controller again and found I hadn't reconnected one of the antenna wires.

Relating to my issue, I'm just wondering if you have possibility forgotten to plug something back in, reconnect a ribbon cable or something.

If replacing the joysticks left you with no display, double-check all ribbon cable connections, ensure nothing is pinched or misaligned, and test with the battery reseated before suspecting a hardware fault.
