Why is my front camera not working after the screen replacement.

The tech that replaced my screen is wanting an additional $80 to check why the front camera isn’t working. Is this normal? It wasn’t broken when the screen was cracked and I got it replaced. The face I.d. Was also still working. Can someone please advise?
