MacBook Air hard drive compatibility (A1304 to A1237)

I have a MacBook air that came with the A1304 hard drive. I have an A1237 replacement drive. They have different connectors (you can see the pictures at the bottom of this page.

Can I just buy the A1237 connector and use the A1237 drive in a macbook that came with an A1304 drive?

Thanks!

Chosen Solution

Unfortunately, no. I took a moment to compare the two hard drive cables from these models and the logic board connector ends are not the same. So, the hard drive cable that will fit into the A1237 drive will not fit the logic board of the A1304.

More over, A1237 is a kind of PATA drive but A1304 is a SATA.
