Do I need to replace my logic board?

Im trying to fix an iPod video 5th gen 30gb. If tested out everything in the iPod but it wont turn on, my hard drive is working well because i tried it in another iPod, my battery is working so is my headphone jack. As soon as i connect the battery the lcd turns off and on really fast and makes a noise while doing it. Can that be a bad logic board or maybe a bad connect right where the battery connect to?

Sounds like a bad logic board to me.
