Fridge and freezer stopped working but compressor and coil fan ok

Our fridge stopped freezing and refrigerating. I opened the back. Coils aren’t that dirty but I cleaned them anyway. It took about 15 minutes but I heard the compressor and coil fan both whirl to life. Inside the freezer fan doesn’t seem to be running and that’s all I know. Suggestions? Thanks.

Hi @bvon

Here's the mini manual for the model series.

Enter the service diagnostics as described and check if any fault codes are being displayed. The code numbers correspond to the various components in the failure code definition list shown in the manual.

If there's a 00 00 code then run the diagnostic tests for code 00 47 FF fan test (refrigerator evaporator fan) and 00 48 FZ fan test (freezer evaporator fan) to check if they're both OK or not.

If you find the problem and it is a faulty part that needs replacing, here's a model directory parts list that may be useful.

Select the model number applicable to your refrigerator, and then locate the wanted part in the parts diagrams that open. Note the manufacturer's part number that is shown with the wanted part. Search online for the manufacturer's part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.
