Can you make this laptop headless?

Hello i was wondering if its possible to make this laptop headless without damaging or effecting the performance in anyway. Also is there a guide on how to get to the heatsink in order to re-apply thermal paste to the CPU?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Removing the display lid is not advised! Just use the system in Clamshell Mode using an external keyboard, mouse/trackpad & display.

While the system will appear to run headless you've interfered with the SMC services so the system will be throttled as SMC's expected thermal input will be gone. You also loose the sleep input from the lid sensor as such your battery life will be reduced.
