Is there a how to video how to install a space bar with the newer spring clips? All I have been able to find are of the previous generation, I have the part in the mail and would like to install when I get it.

Given the fact your system should still be under warranty why haven't you just gone the either an authorized service center or Apple Store to have it fixed for free. Don't over volunteer too much information on what happened.
As this is such a new system I doubt many people have even popped the bottom cover off or have done any repairs on it yet other than Apple.

I've had this laptop just over a year and under Apple Care in settings it says my coverage expired.
@jenmichaelkeupp - I would get to the Apple Store ASAP as they often will give you a break! It's worth a try at least. Don't act too knowledgeable and again don't try to explain.
