UPDATE: The leak is coming from the bottom device. I'm looking into this manual if that pulls out, etc. Any input is welcome.

Hello, I woke up to a nice puddle of water underneath the water heater. It is spraying water out from the inside. The water is literally spraying out from behind the section in the photo attached.

I may be in over my head on this one but figured I'd check in with you guys!

Thank you!

How old is the unit?

According to the brochure there's a 10 year "limited" warranty on the heat pump.

Might be worth checking to see if it's covered if <10 years old.

Here's a service manual that may help.

See the section about changing the element.

Yes sir! Thank you again! My wife and I are going bonkers trying to find receipt. It's under 5 years old, never mind ten!

I'll get back to you as I learn some things, etc. Thank you again!
