I replaced the heating element which shorted out and snapped. heating

Replaced heating element. turned on and snapped but element still heats but drum doesn't turn.

What is the model number of the dryer?

What "snapped"? Was there a spark that occurred when power was connected?

Have you checked that the heater element is not shorting out to the chassis of the dryer?
