With these old GM vehicles, if you do it right and wire in a resistor like this and the car will always start - it doesn't even trip the security light. The early PassLock cars are known to be finicky and these cars aren't exactly valuable, so it's not like having the information be known is a big issue.
This video has instructions on which wire to cut.
