A power bank is an external battery for when you don't have immediate access to a wall outlet and need to charge a device, or simply for the convenience of extra battery life.

battery poked accidentally, is it safe to use?

Beetle flix 20K power bank was working fine, except its switch on the side sunk inside, so i tried prying it open and accidentally poked the battery by a screwdriver, that spot is giving sparks even when touched with hand or screwdriver, gives out burning smoke. Power bank is working fine. Can i just apply tape and continue to use it? In fact sparks came out even while applying tape and burnt it a bit.

No, it is unsafe to use any lithium ion battery if it is at all damaged. The battery should be disposed of in a safe manner.
