I dropped my monitor and now the screen is black and pixelated

HELP! I would really appreciate any advice on how to repair this myself. See the above picture - Note there are no breaks/cracks in the exterior screen.

I've had this monitor for years (out of warranty) and it otherwise works flawlessly. Would really appreciate a "how-to" or if you could point me in the direction of resources that could guide me on how to do this. Thanks!

@larsjanaman we really need to see what this screen looks like. Post some pictures of it with your Question or an answer. From what you told us the first instinct is a broken screen. Adding images to an existing question

@larsjanaman it definitely is a broken LCD! There is no fix for it, only a replacement. Now, remove the back cover. There should be a label on the back of your LCD panel. It should have the maker and the exact panel number on it. Do an internet search with those numbers and see if you can find a replacement for an acceptable price. If a replacement panel is unavailable, don't bin the monitor but sell it as a broken one and try to recover some money for the purchase of a new one. There are plenty of people that like to fix these or use the boards for their repairs.

Sounds like a seriously broken screen. At this point the most expensive part of the whole monitor, the IPS Display, is broken, and a new screen would probably cost you more than the monitor itself. You might want to just buy a new monitor, as there is little point trying to fix it. However, you might be able to sell working parts from the broken one if they're working, like the motherboard, the frame, the back panel... or just sell the whole thing. Here's the disassembly guide, although it is a little unclear.
LG Monitor 27MN60T Disassembly
Also, monitors aren't exactly really expensive nowadays. You can probably get a decent display under 100$. PCMag suggests the Phillips 221V8LB with 1080p resolution and a 100hz revolution sold at 69.99$ on Amazon.
