@louislopez19786 all the Hold switch does on any iPod Classis, is that disables the controls. It disables the buttons only, not the screen.

Now, if you can still use the controls even with the Lock switch engaged, you will need to replace the Headphone jack/Hold switch flex cable

Once open, check the switch and see if the pin from the mechanical switch actually engages the switch. There is a tab that sits in something like a fork on the actual switch. That is what moves the switch in the off/on positions.
