Upper case is causing fans to race

I have a MacBook Pro A1226. I wanted to swap the upper case for a better one that I had, except the new case causesthe fans to slowly rev to maximum RPMs and stay there. As soon as you turn the computer on it starts to increase the speed. Is there some temp sensor on the upper case that is causing this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

When I use my older upper case, the fans don't rev up at all. Just this other upper case.

Sounds like the thermal sensor isn't attached or is bad on the new case.

If that sensor is disable then the fan will spin up.

I changed the thermal sensor on the case to one that I know works but unfortunately that didn't fix the problem.
