Why does my PS4 crash when it updates a game

Each time any game updates or if I download something there’s a chance for it to crash for no reason then I have to unplug the PS4 then plug it back in so it works again

Try deleting the game and reinstalling.

Just to add: If that fails, you could try to restore it. A complete reinstall can help. If that fails, then you might want to replace the HDD for a new one or for an SSD.
