Antique glass perfume bottle

Glass topper broke off bottle. I can’t remove the broken piece from the bottle top. I tried gluing an inverted screw to the piece to pull out but didn’t work. Any suggestions?

Do you have any images of the broken top? I'm having trouble visualizing what's wrong here.

Options

Try heating the bottle under the hot water tap avoiding the stopper.

Be ready to catch the stopper fragment with a cloth or something soft so as not to damage it.
