touch screen not working after dropping my phone on its back

my touch screen is not working after i accidentally dropped my phone, it landed on its back, no cracks or visual damage on the LCD itself, it works fine, the touch screen however doesnt work. it was a smth like a 1 meter drop. how likely for this to be a screen issue and not something internal on the phone itself considering the impact was to the back of the phone and not the front where the screen is?

I have the same problem, I tried to disconnect the battery and when I put it back and turn on the phone (long press the volume down and power button) the logo of samsung turn red and and it did not proceed to homepage

@sev158 sure, it is possible that this would be a main PCB issue, but it is unlikely since it would do more than just affect your touchscreen. It is possible that the ribbon cable got disconnected and of course, it is possible that the coup-contrecoup impact damaged the touchscreen which is part of your display assembly. So, I suggest you open up your phone and take a look at the connectors, make sure they are all still connected etc. If they are then I would suggest a replacement display assembly. The worst situation would be if it is a board issue. For that you will need to have the schematics the board layout and the tools to do board repairs.

Since iFixit does not yet have specific guide for that, use something like this video You can also use the guide from here It is for the 5G model, but the screen replacement is identical. It was written in Spanish so you will need to use a browser that translates the guide for you. Replacement screens are readily available at many online places.

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has a device with the same issues as you do. It's easy and fun to create these guides. https://ifixit.com/Guide/new The iFixit community will appreciate this.
