My disk drive motor doesn't work when a disk is put in

I bought a original PS1 (not PSOne) model 5501. I thought i fixed it with a spinle replacement, and it worked....kinda. What happened was that it spinned well without a disk, but whenever there was a disk, it refused to spin, can someone help please?

Options

The spindle might be skipping, due to not being fully secured to the motor. Try to make the spindle more secure.
