Certain keys on my keyboard aren’t working- and I need to replace it.

I’ve seen Reddit posts about this exact problem I’m having, so I know it’s not a software or “keyboard is just dirty” issue.
The ROG zephyrus G14 (2022) GA401QM keyboard gives out after around the first 2 years of use. Great laptop overall, wouldn’t recommend buying it for this reason though, considering it’s so common.

The keys won’t respond unless you press down harshly on them, spam them, or if you hold down another key while attempting to press the broken ones. The keys will sometimes fix themselves, but if you leave the keyboard alone for too long or turn off the laptop, the problem will persist.

The keys that broke down for me first was D and Backspace.

The problem has now advanced to D, backspace, W, R, U, I, =, [, and ].

There’s no step by step guide on how to replace this specific years keyboard yet, and I heard it includes different components compared to the year prior or after models.

I have never done repair on a laptop before.

What tools do I need? How do I begin taking the case off? What even caused this, and how/why is it so common in this model? Is there a way to prevent this in the future?

The tech support on the website will infinitely load you if you attempt to look up your serial number if you own this laptop. Little to no info on repair is available either on the official website.

I’m desperate to fix this issue, as carrying a whole outside keyboard with my laptop would become annoying really fast. Any help appreciated!!
