I bought the part from ifixit. I fixed it and replaced the battery however the phone won't turn on and the old battery doesnt work as well. What should I do?

Any time something doesn't work after a repair/replacement it is usually due to an error during repair.
Since there are a number of small connectors in a phone, my guess would be either one was missed or improperly connected.
That would be lacking a defective component replacement or a damaged part during replacement.
Time to recheck your processes.
