My Laptop freezes due to an Update failure before 2-3 Months

So, before 2-3 months ago I put my laptop on update and went for a call, my little sister came in my room thinking she did something to the laptop that she though updating a laptop means you broke it. So she shut downs the laptop without me knowing, for some weeks it went good I did a lot of updates and all good but before sometime I notice my laptop freezing every 2-3 minute, I tried the restart and even factory reset but the results are still not very exciting. Some days ago my sister told me that she did shut down in middle of the update. I don't know what to do and even the store fixers went crazy asking me for $250 for fixing it. I don't know which update went corrupt and how to fix it.

Answer this question I have this problem too

@dhwarkeshparekh you are not telling us under what circumstance your laptop shuts down or what OS you are using. I assume you are using Windows. I would suggest that you try and check the error logs by using Windows Event Viewer. See if that gives you a hint on why it shuts down. Check this site for how to get there. you can always post those logs on here.

Let us know what you find out.

@dhwarkeshparekh post the exact warnings that it shows

The DCom 10xxx eg event ID 10016 warnings are normal, nothing to worry about. You say updates are ok since then, have you checked the Optional updates (might be in Advanced options, depends on Windows version) - they are driver updates windows has found for your device - in Win 10 and later its usually a good idea to install all of them. Restart and then see if still having issues.

I got a hell lot of warnings of kernel-PnP, DCom, rt640x64. There are lots like them but their are only these three in all the warnings.

Yes, pressing power to shutdown will show up exactly like that - sounds like everything is fine, otherwise
