Small Rubber Things (Battery & Heatsink Screw Heads)

Are these things really necessary to put back on?

They are a bit fiddly to put back on...... Other than to show Apple they were removed to void any warranty I can't really see the need for them?

The CPU heatsink caps should be put back, they are there to protect the system from a loose screw condition that can develop where the heatsink screws walk out of there mount. I’ve seen it twice when the caps weren't installed.

@danj OK I will try to get them back on, looks like they need some type of glue to stick back on, or just use a soft rubber sticky pad to the case above them should do the same trick as they are likely to fall off easily.? What about the battery parts?
