Repair, disassembly, and troubleshooting information for the Xbox Series X, Microsoft's 4K gaming console. The Xbox Series X was released alongside its companion console, the Xbox Series S, on November 10th, 2020.

Controller will not pair to the console, via usb or wireless connection

Picked my series X up off marketplace. 1st mistake. Got home plugged it in. It powers up, displays an image, but I can’t get any controller to connect to it. When pressing the pairing button, the consoles logo does not blink, indicating it’s not attempting to pair. When I plug the controller into the usb port, it still doesn’t recognize it. Tried multiple controllers, and every usb port. It’s like all 3 ports are dead. No power. Tried plugging up a dongle to all 3 to see if it would light up. It did not.

Any advice on what to look for would be appreciated!

Hi there!

You might want to replace the bluetooth board first and see if that fixes it!

This is the one: Xbox Series X Accessory Antenna Board

Guide: Xbox Series X Accessory Antenna Board Replacement

If that didn’t worked, then try to replace the wifi board as well. If both failed, then return it and get yourself a refund. Then it might be motherboard related.

Please let us know if this fixed it or not!

Replace the wireless networking board compatible with Xbox Series X model RRT-00010 and RRT-00013 video game console. Fix issues like a corroded circuit board. Image
