My iPod stop working all of a sudden

one day i was taking my sister to school, and it was snowing. i was listening to my iPod. when i came back home from the school i shut my iPod off and put it on hold like i usually do all the time. i left it on my desk and i decided to take a bath. when i can back, i wanted to listen to my iPod again. i grabbed it. i unlocked it and i try to to press a botton to select the song that i want. but my iPod wouldnt work. at first i just thought it was slow. so i unplug the headphones and replug it in, still no response. so i thought that something happened to it. but i dont remeber droping it or anything it was on my desk the whole time. i try plugging it into the computer hoping there would be a response. but when i plug it in, the iPod has no response, and my computer did beep to say that there was a new device that was pluged into the computer. no matter what i try how much i try to press the bottons and plug it into the computer, my iPod just wouldnt work and i cant get any response out of it. the screens just stays black. i love my iPod very much and i cant live without it. and my mom refuse to buy me a new one. now what?

The only way to check it is to get some power to it. I would install a new battery first. This may be all you need. Here's where to get one: http://store.fastmac.com/product_info.ph...

Here's how to do it: iPod Nano 4th Generation Battery Replacement
