dryer will not shut off when clothes are dry

My dryer stopped heating so I replaced the heating element, the coil was broken. I also replaced the high limit thermostat. Now I get the heat but dryer will not shut off when the clothes are dry using the automatic cycle.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I suspect during the replacement process you disconnected the sensor and missed reconnecting it.

Neither the heating coil nor the high limit switch have anything to do with it detecting dryness of clothes.

Hi @usucceed

Here's the tech sheet for the dryer that may help.

Run the diagnostic test to see if any fault code is being displayed by the dryer.

The fault codes meaning and possible causes are shown on p.3.

If there's a faulty part that needs replacing, here's a parts list that is useful.

Locate the wanted part in the list and note the manufacturer's part number that is listed with it. Search online for the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.
