I have an electric whirlpool dryer, it wasn't heating up but still turning on like normal and spinning, we changed the heating element and now when we turn it on, it shuts off after 2 seconds. I don't know what we are doing wrong. Please help

I assume you can repeat the turn on/shut down process. If so, you may have improperly inserted the heating element so that it shorts to the chassis. This may be causing it to over heat and trip the high temp cutout. When the cutout resets, you can repeat the process.
Recheck your installation.
