Hello!
I’ve been having on and off issues with not being able to sign into my Xbox live account. I do random things like log out and log back in or mess with wifi settings and it works, but not this time.
Reddit says it’s a hardware issue but I have no idea what I’d look for. My warranty is up so I’m willing to open it myself.
Any ideas?

You forgot the most vital information, like what does the error look like? What error message does it show?

I accidentally replied to the threat instead of this.
No error code. Prior it just said we could not sign you into your account. Now there’s no error code. It show a log in page at all. It loads for a while then just closes.

Did you try calling, emailing, going online to Microsoft Xbox support, describing your predicament?

I did contact Microsoft for Xbox support, they keep insisting it’s an issue with my wifi. I tried all of their trouble shooting advice: power cycling, trying out wired connection instead of wireless, signing out of my account and logging back in, etc.
My Xbox does connect to the wifi, I verified it in the settings. I tried logging into a different account, but the same error showed up.
I did a hard wipe of the Xbox and still the same error appears.

Are you using VPN or other security mods that may interfere with logging into your Xbox? Tried using your Xbox on another computer from a friend/relative's home, external to your home system?

I don’t use a VPN or anything similar.
I haven’t tried using my Xbox elsewhere because it isn’t really an option for me. I did try connecting it to my phone’s hotspot but the same error occurred.
Also just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to get to the bottom of this with me.

Trying your Xbox elsewhere, outside your home, may help determine whether the Xbox is the problem (despite Microsoft's insistence that it's your wifi causing the problem) or internet connection issues. A test to see if your Xbox is the problem or a problem with internet connections.
