iPhone Speaker Assembly Screws won't come out

I am using the correct screwdriver to take out the screws for the speaker assembly; however, the screw just keeps turning and turning and won't come out. Any ideas? I want to do this myself and not ship it out and have someone else fix it.

Sounds like you may have stripped the threads. Use a small pair of needle nosed pliers or locking hemostats to grasp the head and pull up while turning to see if you can get past the stripped area.
