me solicita POWER -ON PASSWORD REQUIRED al inicio

Buenas al encender me solicita una password con el mensaje System Security Power-on Password Required y no me deja continuar

Si este es tu computadora y no sabes la contraseña, puedes reajustar el configuración de BIOS por sacar la batería de BIOS. iFixit tiene una guía en inglés, la información esta en la pagina 31: T14 Gen2 P14s Gen2 Hmm En

Might work if the password hasn't been set but why then why would it ask for one?

The manual then states that "If a supervisor password or a system management password has been set and is known to the service technician, do the following ....."

I'm guessing that the OP has either forgotten or never knew the password, so this isn't going to work.

They'll either have to contact the manufacturer or reflash the BIOS chip with the correct BIOS.bin file to erase the password.

@jayeff The manual seems to indicate that there are different kinds of passwords on the system. There's an NVMe password, supervisor password, system management password, and a power-on password. The power-on password is not the same as a supervisor password or system management password. These are described on page 29.

Apologies. My mistake.

I was thinking that the Power On password was the same as the supervisor password.
