Front Panel Assembly with or without home button?

Hello there...

I'm currently trying to fix an iPad 1 Wi-Fi. It fell down and the front panel glass was broken. I looked in eBay for a replacement and some of them are just Front Panel others are Front Panel Assembly, the only difference that I'm seeing is that the Assembly comes with a home button...

Given the fact that I only need to replace the glass, not even the LCD or anything else, can I just buy the Front Panel without the Home Button or do I need to buy the whole assembly?

Can you salvage the Home button off the Front Panel Asssembly?

What do you mean by "salvage"? The only thing that broke was the front panel glass the rest of the ipad is intact, what I need to find out is that if I need to replace the front panel should I go for the whole assembly which includes the home button or should I only use the front panel by itself...

What my suggestion is if your home button works fine and you don't need to replace it then yes just get the front panel by itself :-)
