Touch screen doesnt work PLEASE HELP

SO here is what happened few days ago I drooped my ipod touch and the screen cracked so i opened the ipod touch and changed a NEW screen, At first when i put everything back it worked so i tried to push the screen back in place. but i unplugged something while doing that and i plugged it back then at first it was WHITE Screen so i pressed On/off button and home at same Time for like 20 second , then it turned back and apple icon came out ,then the slide to unlock thing came out so I tried to slide it but the touch screen doesn't work anymore

Have you double checked your work to make sure all the connections are properly made? Check the cable and see if it was torn somewhere

I think you should connect the digitizer cable again, i had the same problem with an iPhone 3G while i was cleaning the screen. when i assembly everything back, there was a part of the touch screen that didn't worked, so i unplugged it and plugged it again, and it worked.

i tried reconnect many times already. does the back like that connect the screen and the main board need to be positioned certainly?

and mine is fully not working, everywhere in the screen. but i can use the home button and the on off button, i even heard my mornign arlem when the cable isnt plugged in

You can hear your alarm because, the Speaker from the ipod, doesn't have anything to be with the screen.

Make sure that you had connect the display cable and digitalizer properly. other wise i think that you damaged your digitalizer cable.

Or maybe you bought a Defective Screen.

if you want you can search a video on youtube of how to dissambly the iPod 4th Gen.
