Why doesn't the touchscreen respond on my Panasonic Toughbook CF-72?

I have reloaded Windows XP (SP-3) and after downloaded the drivers & running the installers my touchscreen still doesn't work nor does Windows detect the device in device management only but it is activated in the bios

Did it work before you reinstalled Win XP or did you reinstall it because your screen was not working?

It worked before I re-install XP which I did to get a fresh install of XP to regain some speed and get rid of infections... All I get in the device manager is a question mark in front of the following items...

? Other Devices

? Unknown Device

? Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

Do you have the drivers for the CF-72?

Michel Leclerc ,from what you are describing, it sounds to me like you are having a driver issue. that is the reason why you have devices with the question mark in the Device Manager. If you are sure that you have the right drivers for you touchscreen, I would delete the devices with the ? mark and then reinstall those. When it goes through the "found new hardware" phase, point it to the location where your drivers are stored. You can check for drivers for your Toughbook on here https://ftps.panasonic.com/

This is the link for legacy/discontinued Toughbook models. You can of course find more on here. Hope this helps.
