Sim Not Found 3gs

I recently repaired an iPhone, and upon entering the sim card, it won't detect it. I am thinking it is the number 7 connector in the phone, as it worked before, but has stopped now. Any suggestions?

The number 7 connector has nothing to do with the SIM card reader. What was the repair that was done? It is likely that one of the gold colored prongs on the SIM card reader was broken/moved to where it does not read the card properly.
