The slim edition of the classic Xbox 360 with a 250GB HDD and built-in Wi-Fi. Repair requires intricate prying and special tools.

Xbox 360 slim has no display AV or HDMI

I have a trinity xbox 360 slim, and it doesn't output any video with AV or HDMI. Where do I start diagnosing? I think it's the video chip problem but I'm not sure. Which chip is responsible for the video output? Any help is appreciated!

Hi!

I’m afraid it’s the XCGPU causing issues here! This does explain why nothing is working (AV and HDMI).

To give you a insight how this need to be fixed and which IC it is: https://youtu.be/nkEciY5V_cM?si=IsaEFyC5...

It’s a really difficult repair. If you have any questions, please let us know!

sorry for the late reply but where can I get this chip?

and another thing this thing was outputting video like 7 years ago at this point, like 2018 ish was the last time I used it, and it was outputting video just fine av and hdmi. Why would the gpu stop working after 7 ish years of not using it?

Could be caused by colt solder joints! This is probably the issue. So a reflow will do it's thing. But most of the time it's temporarily. So I advise to reball the chip. Unfortunately, this will be very difficult, you do need soldering experience and the right tools to do this.
