Dishwasher not running cycle.

The dishwasher has power but it’s not running a cycle. It worked last week and we had this issue before but can’t afford to get it fixed or get a new one. The start button blinks when attempted to turned on.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi @lilsquirt

Here's the tech sheet for the dishwasher that may help.

Try entering the Service Diagnostics as seen on p.14 of the sheet and check what error codes (if any) are shown.

Sometimes rebooting helps or even disassembly. I had a non responsive touch panel after a power outage and I feared the worse. I turned the power off at the breaker panel, left it off for some time. After I turned the power back on the dishwasher would beep but then the panel would still be unresponsive. One time, the drain light was on so I closed the door and it proceeded to drain but after the pump stopped, the touch panel was still unresponsive and no lights. Sometimes it wouldn't even beep.

A test to see if the control panel is good or bad is to remove the front door panel to expose the control board. Disconnect the power and the touch panel from the control board. Then reconnect the power (with the touch panel disconnected) and if the pump runs, the control board is good. This could mean the touch panel is bad. However, in my case, when I reattached the touch panel, everything worked fine. Strange that powering it off at the breaker panel did nothing. It only took me a few minutes to figure this out.

I got this info from watching this video, https://youtu.be/pKLvJzZ1N80
