DouglasRJohnson, this is going to be a very different answer. Mostly because I wanted to post an image so your could clarify which part you are referring to. To remove the wheel Drive Shaft replacement, you will need the tools :
J 45341 Rear Whhel Drive shaft Removal Tool
J-2619-A Slide Hammer
J 44394 Axle Seal Protector
For the inner joint and seal replacement you need
J 35910 Drive Axle Seal clamp pliers
