What part goes first?
I have my old dumpster iMac G3 here with some issues i am looking into
The speakers are shot, but I will not bother, read on why not.
This computer has pink and green color bands where theyshould not be, but I don't worry too much, propably because I maximize the useable screen on it
The main issue is that this computer has a tendency to give a yellow colro issue all over the monitor, but it can still be used, the easiest(and safest) way to fix is to give the back a firm, but gentle slap to fix(i know as a tech not to do this, but i care about my life and will not use a CRT as a suicide tool by accident)
i have hard it's the downconverter, analog board, or CRT, sometimes all 3
Anyone know better about these computers having this failure and the dying part? I know how to take it all apart, I just refuse to, I'll pull the logicboard and downconverter from the bottom, along with the other parts, but this is it!
I'll do the downconverter, but that is it
update
casing cracked pretty bad, and ripping this apart turned into a crubling mess, but i got the CRT out, and the analog board, for a non cracking case one, if i keep the analog board
Is this a good question?
