Cleand carb but not staying on.

had the scotter carb- cleand and was working ok. but now when started will not stay on ?? can some one Help?

jessica, this could be caused by a few things like a to lean fuel/air mixture caused by air screw out of adjustment, clogged carburetor jet, clogged fuel line, clogged gasoline tank cap, incorrect carburetor fuel level (check your pilot valve and your float settings). My number one thing I would do is recheck the carb float and bowl, clean your tank multiple times and reevaluate. One more thing that might help you is to download the service manual from here.
