Screen hinge snapped. Need replacement advice?!

After many issues with my loose hinges and floppy screen the left hand screen hinge has snapped!!

Initially the aluminium backing (with the Apple logo on it) came away from the bottom of the screen itself, exposing the innards. This was a simple glue job, but now the hinge has given way and broken.

I am rather practical and deft of hand. So, I can feasibly take on this job myself.

Can anyone help with procedure and spare parts?

Oh and I live in The Netherlands....

Andrew.

You'll have to get the parts from someplace other than here - maybe from a damaged laptop/display. Using directions to replace the display screen should show you how to dismantle down to the hinge (clutches). You'll need tape for reassembling the glass cover.

Thanks for your advice Machead3. I followed the instructions and glued the hinge with some serious glue.

It's working fine now and I managed to save myself 700 Euros!! (Quote from Apple Genius store).
