What to do with a blacked out iPhone? :(

Last night I was sending sms to a group of people when I clicked my iphone to sleep mode/lock mode. Then when I checked my phone and clicked it again, there's nothing but a black screen. I panicked and hurriedly plugged it in for seconds but nothing happened. It's pitched black. :(

I planned to observe it for 3days til the battery runs out coz I think that the system "hang" for rapid usage. After this experiment, if nothing happens, I'll consult a repairman.

But I need suggestions of what am I gonna do in this matter. :( heeeelllllppppp!

thanks!

butilya , I would try to do a hard reset first. Hold the sleep/wake button and the home button at the same time. Hold them until the screen goes black. In some cases, you may need to keep holding them even after the red power off slider appears. If it does, just keep holding it. Wait until the white Apple logo appears. Once that has happened, your phone is rebooting.
