top half of display is not responding to touch after battery replaceme

Everything about the phone is fine but the top half of the display is hardly working and the phone is tapping all over the screen by itself. (even uploaded a picture of my unsuspecting double chin to my snapchat story!) I try reattaching the main ribbon cable but it doesnt seem to fix the issue

Answer this question I have this problem too

@stefan69316 at first I would have thought it may just not have been properly connected. However, since you mentioned that "the phone is tapping all over the screen by itself" this would be an issue with your display assembly. It is suffering from "Ghost Touch". The touch screen is sandwiched into this assembly. In order to fix this, you will have to replace that assembly. Use this guide Samsung Galaxy S22 Screen and Battery Assembly Replacement for that.
