Keeps on going to boot apple logo screen then apps won't work.

Hi guys, so I replaced the screen and lcd on my iphone 3g 16gb after a crack and I had a couple of problems, explained in my last thread (ear speaker stopped working)

However now it seems I'm getting more problems..

On two occasions I have taken the phone out of my pocket and it has been turned fully off (with plenty battery) and then when I go to reboot it the apple logo screen comes up as normal but it stays on that screen and fails to boot. And holding the home and power buttons makes it shut off and start to boot again but will stay on the screen again...

The first time I fixed this by taking the screen off, and simply putting it back on again, and then it seemed to boot ok... and today I fixed it by turning it off fully and just leaving to chill out for a while and then turning it back on again.

And another thing is that both times when it has finally booted none of the downloaded apps will work but the original apple ones will. For example facebook will open and show the loading screen but then crash.

The only way to fix the apps was by updating them all and then they worked... but now I cant update them because, they don't need updating!

I just dont understand why playing with the screen can cause these kind of problems. and why taking the screen off again can actually fix it? I didnt think the screen was responsible for any of these kinds of action.

Any help appreciated, sorry it's such a long post but wanted to be as detailed as possible.

you can get all sorts of weird crashes with new parts. If the problem wasn't there before then I'd be tempted to send it back. or if you kept the old screen try putting that back on/swap a friends screen and see what happens. I'd also take a good look at connector 3..it can do all sorts

ok thanks for the feedback :) the new connector 3 is on its way, should of arrived today but no sign so tomorrow I should be changing that over.

I dont think any of my mates will let me take their screens off and the old screen is mangled beyond belief so I think I will have to deal with it if it happens again :( i deserve an upgrade soon anyway, the first iphone i bought was the first gen off ebay and since then I've worked my way up to a 3g by sending them back to apple when they broke :D
