Hi Sof,

Sorry to see that tech does indeed hate you. If it still turns on and it's within two months of purchase, see if you can get AppleCare+ within the settings under General > AppleCare & Warranty. This would significantly reduce your repair cost through Apple. Besides that, there are guides on this site for fixing every part yourself, if that's the route you take.

Good luck!

Hmm but it still seems to work as fine like it charges and does everything like no problem , and opens and closes properly . Is it still usable?

Sounds usable to me. Glad to hear it's working! I'd check on the AppleCare+ status even though it's currently functional, just in case you do want to get the bend fixed. I used to work in an Apple Store and this is certainly a case where it would benefit you, if available.

While MacBooks are tough, they aren’t tanks! You really need to invest into a hard case or one that is well padded. Don’t pack your system in checked luggage as it will grow legs and scamper off! Or worse get rolled over by a jet (I kid you not! One employee had that happen)

Then where you place your system can be just as important. Beds are never good between being sat on or if you are charging it you could have a battery failure causing your bed to erupt in flames.

Anything that has a Li-Ion battery really needs to be placed on a non flammable or low possibility of igniting surface as well as make sure the area around it is not loaded up with flammable stuff either. I’m not saying this a a sure failure, it’s being smart! I have a slate plate which holds my iPhone and iPad just to be safe on my dresser, and my desk where charge my laptop is metal.
