Released in 2020, the Razer Blade 15" Advanced model is designed to provide gamers with powerful specifications and sleek aesthetics.

4 years old already, what are some upgrades I can do to make this last

I have this razer blade 15 and I want to keep this working for as long as possible. I haven't used it properly in a year or so, so I want to make sure it works when I boot it up again.

Other than making sure it doesn't destroy itself on bootup, what are some upgrades/checks I can make on the laptop to make sure it works as good as new

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Absolutely repaste the CPU and GPU if you're noticing it doesn't run as cool as it used to. It may also be worth swapping the stock heat pads and putty on the power circuitry and VRAM.

You could try setting turbo limits and undervolting if you're on an older BIOS version, but personally I didn't find much that much practical benefit to doing this.

I was having an issue with the GPU never being disabled, which was fixed by using Display Driver Uninstaller and reinstalling the drivers, it may be worth doing that if you're finding the fans seem to spool up for no reason.

Other than keeping the fans clear of dust, that's about all I can think of. 😄
