Laptop Fan not working (90 B error right after turning on the laptop)

Whenever i turn on the my laptop i get a beep sound and then the 90 B error which tells me that there is a problem with the cooling fan. The fan is not working what should i do?

@mikeyyd there are a few possibilities. From a bad fan to a bad circuit on the motherboard that controls the fan. I would start with a new fan. To replace it use the HP ProBook 440 G3 Notebook PC Maintenance And Service Guide and the fan part number is 829010-001. Replacements are readily available. While you work on your fan you also want to clean the rest of the laptop.i.e. air inlet slots etc. Make sure that there is no dust or debris that obstructs the airflow.

While you work on your laptop, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit.
